Photo Hunt

Fixing Old Damaged Photos

For this project the task was to fix an old and damaged photo so I chose a photo I found on google of this baby and the image has lots of creases and cracks all over it so I mostly used the cloning tool to get rid of the unwanted damages and to ensure that the colors and shades wouldn't change dramatically I would change the opacity and sometimes airbrush it and I personally think it came out quite successfully.

Portrait touchups

I chose Angelina Jolie because, although she is very beautiful, she isn't perfect. And this photo I found of her wasn't edited as heavily as most which gave me a chance to bring this photo back to the way you see her in the magazines. In this photo I decreased the appearance of signs of aging, removed her under eye circles and bags, softened her lips, neatened her hair, brightened her eyes, defined and shaped her eyebrows, removed a mole, and etc. And I enjoyed coming to class and working on this project because it was pretty fun.

Water Color Paintings

I made about 15 of these water colored photos because I actually really enjoyed the outcome of this tutorial and I thought it looks quite realistic and a lot better than if I were to paint it myself. And since I had some time left over I thought I'd just make more. All the photos I chose have very bright blue colors or accents in each of them and I thought they looked well together and from that I chose the few that I liked best.

Roger Hargreaves's Mr.Men and Little Miss books
Roger Hargreaves was an English author and illustrator of children's books, best known for his series of Mr.Men and Little Miss books. The simple and humorous stories with brightly colored and boldly drawn little characters have been a part of many peoples' early childhoods since 1971, with sales of over 85 million copies worldwide in 20 different languages. The characters were most often named after their personalities and actions and indirectly taught children what's wrong and right whilst also telling an entertaining story. Some characters included in the photo on the left are named "Mr.Tickle, Mr.Angry, Little Miss Sunshine, Mr.Lazy, Mr.Tall, and Mr.Nosey" and these are only a fraction of a fraction of the amount of characters published and read by children all across the world. In memory of Roger Hargreaves Google also celebrated what would have been his 76th birthday, 9 May 2011, with 16 different "Google Doodles" on it's global homepage.
